WHEN THE HAND CONNECTS TO THE I
you can imagine what happens
and then it happens
a tree does not wear a uniform
so when you draw its conclusion
it should be a naked truth
with roots in its branches
and leaves that arrive on time
stretching the imagination
is good for circulation
and circulation is at the root
of every circumstance
going round and round
best represents what we see
from our square windows
so the marks we make
the scratching notations
we etch into our pane
should be more or less
a scribble that takes shape
and bends into a human form
crouching in a corner
of the round universe
when the hand connects to the I
a signature marks the territory
with upside down invisibility
with blue skies painted red
with more fingers than god allowed
with bodies and landscapes seen only in dreams
gesture upon gestation upon gesture
anoints the first white dot of emptiness
with the colors of immediacy
and the world is born
from this incredible concoction
from this inaudible connection
between the one and the infinite
and then we get to see it
